[Private Press founded by Gwendoline & Margaret Davies in 1922 at Gregynog Hall, Montgomeryshire.
They inherited a fortune from their grandfather (David Davies 1818-1890 who had made his wealth
from construction, building railways and coal mines)
and collected Post-Impressionist paintings
and were benefactors of literature, Education and Arts & Crafts. They intended to turn Gregynog
into a centre for fine pottery, weaving, furniture-making and printing, but only the book production
part got developed.
It functioned until 1940 and 42 works were printed.
It has been revived recently]
